In a boring week we decided to visit to Chail which is located in Himachal Pradesh. So I am just going to skip the booking and all parts because it pretty boring so yeah let’s begin!
So on 6 April 2023, we woke up at 5am because that day we had to go to Chail, Himachal Pradesh ,then we kept our suitcases in the trunk of the car, got ready and we started our journey to Chail at 6am. It was almost 200km (5 hours) from Kurukshetra. On the way we saw Pinjore Garden as soon as we entered we saw a huge garden which was one of the best gardens. There were so many plants, trees and flowers of different kinds, many fountains and there were also different mahal (castle) like rang mahal, sheesh mahal, jal mahal and so on, we could get the scenic views of the garden from there. After enjoying there for an hour we continued our journey to Chail.
We started seeing mountains which were huge and were covered with clouds. When we were close to our hotel which was the Chail Palace narrow roads started coming because our booking was in the log hut (Log huts are available in Chail Palace itself, if you are a nature lover it’s a must but you can also experience the Palace which has many rooms like king’s room, queen’s room and so on but these types of rooms are quiet expensive but a lifetime experience) Then after driving towards our hut we saw massive pine trees which were scenic but a little scary. After reaching to our Log Hut we saw a small-cute kitchen, bedroom and the bathroom, you could choose any Log Hut. After we got some rest in our Hut we got out and took a round, there were many huts in a group and bonfire was also available. We made hot maggi in our tinny-tiny kitchen which was masaledar and enjoyable. Then we went out to play football and even lost our ball in the woods but we were able to find it so thank god but after some time we shockingly found a footprint of an animal.
We also enjoyed the swings which was just in front of our log hut but also felt the cold winds even when I was packed up with clothes (included inner, shirt, sweater, jacket, a warm cap, socks, warm pants and shoes). Then in the evening we went to the main Palace which was 1-2km far away from the log hut for dinner. The Palace was majestic and really beautiful. We ate daal makhni and naan as usual because it’s my favorite (You cant break my relationship with daal makhni). Then after feasting ourselves we went for a walk to market we had fun watching the sunset and after reaching to our hut in the dark we slept in our warm and cozy log hut, which ends our first day.
So on second day, we planned to go for day camping. Then we went to a spot which was recommended to us by a person who works there. From that place we could see the Himalayas which was really exciting not only that we even saw beautiful-tall pine trees. Through the trees the sunlight was net beaming which was really enjoyable and we could also hear a brimming river which was very relaxing and calming. So after capturing beautiful cinematic shots we settled our tent in an area which was flat for huge mountains. After putting our tent we saw some roses lying in that area so we took them and wrote our Dog’s name BOZO. After spending 2 hours there we went back to the hut. Oh wait I forgot to tell you that we met an amazing-cute dog whose name was Golu (Golu was a security dog of the The Palace and the log huts) we became his friend and he walked with us to the camp, he went with us when we went to hut or palace.
After camping we went to Kaali Ka Tibba which is located in the top hills of Chail, It’s a very famous temple of Kaali Mata. On the way we stopped our car in a market and we tried paneer ki sabji and a famous local dish gur paratha it was really delicious and continued our journey to Kaali Ka Tibba. We drove our car on a really steep road because it was the only way to the temple. The views from the top were stunning and we could see the Himalayas very clearly in the clear sky. Then we prayed to Gods and enjoyed the bhajan that some locals were singing. After that we headed back to our log hut and collected some pinecones. We asked the receptionist of the Palace to see the special rooms which were King’s Room, Queen’s Room, Prince’s Room and the Princess’s Room, The rooms were huge, beautiful and stunning, thanks to the receptionist. After that we had our dinner and ended our second day.
On the third and final Day, we woke up and played outside, around 7:30 am we decided to visit the Gurudwara which was really famous, we prayed and made our way to the market after a while we headed back to our Log hut because we had to check out so after that we started our journey to Kurukshetra after 3 long days.
On our way home, we spotted the Sadhupul lake and spent some time there in water splashing and putting our feets in water. It was so calming and relaxing. We then crossed a bridge to another side of the lake. On the other side there were food stalls and Sadhupul was quiet crowded at that time. We ate food and again we went to the other side and walked for a bit from that we could see the river. The weather was sunny but cold. Then clicked some pictures and bought some snacks like chips and juice. Then after enjoying the views of the mountains and rivers we took some more final pictures and headed back home. It was an adventurous trip.
